How We Fixed Spam Leads and Ad Account Blocks for an Ayurvedic Wellness Brand

1. Introduction

  • Client Overview: An Ayurvedic wellness brand that offers herbal routines and private consultations for personal skin, hair and weight concerns. Because the concerns are personal, privacy is central to how the brand speaks to its customers.
  • Project Objective: The brand relied on Meta ads for enquiries, but the account was unstable and the leads were unusable. The goal was to give the brand a reliable foundation — a website and a lead system it could trust — so that advertising money turned into real conversations.

2. Challenge

When the brand came to us, its Meta advertising was in a very poor state, and the owner had stopped trusting it altogether.

The problems we found:

  • Almost every lead was spam. Enquiries came in, but they were not real people looking for help, so the team spent time on leads that went nowhere.
  • The ad account was blocked again and again. The reason was simple: Meta’s advertising policies were not being followed. Every block stopped the flow of enquiries and meant starting over.
  • Compliance was missing from the brand itself. Health and wellness is a regulated space. The rules that apply to it were not reflected in the ads, the website or the way the brand presented itself.
  • The client’s trust in ads was zero. After spending money on spam and blocked accounts, the owner no longer believed Meta ads could work for the business.
  • There was no website of its own to send people to, explain the brand properly or capture enquiries on the brand’s own terms.

3. Strategic Solution

Compliance first, then advertising

  • Started with the policies, not the ads: Meta’s advertising rules for health and wellness, and the government rules that apply to the category.
  • Made that compliance visible everywhere the brand appears — its ads, its website and its branding — so that what the brand says and how it says it stays within the rules.
  • Added a clear product disclaimer to the website, stating what the products are and what they are not intended to do.

A website the brand owns

  • Built the brand’s website and took it live, organised around the concerns customers come with, so each visitor starts with their problem rather than a product.
  • Made privacy visible throughout, with a clear “book a private consultation” path, because that is what this audience needs before they reach out.

A custom CMS, not WordPress

  • Built a complete backend CMS so the brand can update its own content whenever it needs to, without coming back to a developer.
  • Wrote it as custom code instead of using WordPress or a page builder, so the site carries nothing it does not need.
  • Used AI-assisted coding where it helped, as every modern development team does, while designing, reviewing and testing the work ourselves.

A lead form that keeps spam out

  • Added a hidden “honeypot” field that bots fill in and real people never see, so automated spam is caught before it reaches the team.
  • Protected every form with a security token, so forms cannot be submitted from outside the website.
  • Recorded which form on the page each enquiry came from, so the brand can see what is actually working.

Tracking Meta can learn from

  • Set up the Meta Pixel with a unique event ID on every lead event, so the same enquiry is never counted twice and Meta optimises towards real enquiries instead of noise.

4. Results

  • Compliance built in: the brand’s ads, website and branding now follow the policies its category is held to.
  • Own website and CMS: the brand has a live website and can update its own content at any time.
  • Spam filtered at the door: bot submissions are caught by the form itself instead of landing in the lead list.
  • Clean signal for Meta: lead events are tracked once, with the source of each enquiry recorded.

5. Conclusion

When ads bring only spam and the account keeps getting blocked, spending more on ads is not the answer. We rebuilt the foundation first — compliance with the rules the category is held to, a website the brand owns, a CMS it controls, a form that keeps spam out and tracking Meta can learn from — so that every rupee spent on advertising has somewhere real to land.
